Pools of Interests

Where Backers want to invest, live. Each pool gathers the free, non-binding Interests declared on the same company, or on the same sector in the same area. Pools are ranked by the combined amount of their tickets.

Interest or Intention: what is the difference?

What is an Interest?

A free, non-binding declaration on a company, or on a sector within an area, with a ticket from USD 25,000. It measures demand: you can hold up to 5 at a time, and move or withdraw them at any moment. An Interest is never presented to a company.

What is an Intention?

A paid, confirmed, still non-binding declaration. Only Intentions count toward a pool’s critical mass and are passed to the local partner, who presents the demand to the companies concerned. An Intention is valid for life and can be moved free of charge until a deal process opens on its pool.

How does an Interest become an Intention?

When the Interests in a pool reach its confirmation threshold, the paid phase of that pool opens. Each Backer holding an Interest in it is invited to confirm it as an Intention; an Interest not confirmed within 60 days expires.

Is either one a commitment to invest?

No. Neither is an order nor a commitment to invest: you remain free to take part in a transaction or not. The price of an Intention pays for the declaration service; it is neither a deposit nor an advance on an investment, and it is non-refundable.

Why are Intentions not open yet?

The paid phase opens pool by pool, once its Interests reach the confirmation threshold, and country by country, once the local partner of the country is signed. Until then, declare a free Interest with the Back button on any ranking.
